Al Mahatta Al Oula aired on Jordan TV, the national broadcaster. Its premise: recreate the familiar language of satellite television, then let comedy take over.

News desks, morning sofas, interview chairs, cooking segments and game-show buzzers. The recognisable formats become a stage for original writing, comic characters and everyday social situations.

The programme introduced a young ensemble making their first appearances on television—new faces stepping into a whole world of presenters, guests and personalities.
